Create a Binance API key
A self-generated key: you bring a public key to Binance and take an API key back.
The steps, in words
- Search for API ManagementIn the Binance app, tap the search bar at the top of the home screen and type api. Open the Functions tab and tap API Management. It opens as a web page inside the app.
- Create an API keyTap Create API at the top. Not the Tax Report one.
- Choose Self-generatedPick Self-generated — the key pair you made in step 1 — and tap Next. A system-generated key would give you a secret that A9 does not use.
- Paste the public keyCopy the public key from step 1 with the button here, paste it into Your public key — the whole block, BEGIN and END lines included — and tap Next.
- Give the key a labelAny label works, such as A9. Tap Next.
- Pass the security checkBinance asks for your authenticator code and an email code. Enter both and tap Submit.
- Copy the API key into A9The new key appears in the list, tagged Ed25519. Tap Copy under API Key and paste it into the field here. There is no secret: the private key from step 1 is the other half.
